Fixed-ball, floating-seat design for high-pressure, large-bore pipeline and process isolation with low operating torque.
The trunion mounted ball valve anchors the ball at top and bottom with fixed trunion bearings, allowing the ball to remain stationary while the upstream seat is spring-loaded to maintain contact. This means operating torque remains low regardless of line pressure — a critical advantage in large-bore, high-pressure pipeline isolation where floating ball designs would require impractically large actuators.
VALVAX trunion ball valves are designed to API 6D and ISO 17292, with fire-safe certification to API 607 and API 6FA. The split-body or top-entry construction allows in-line seat maintenance without disturbing the pipeline. Double-block-and-bleed (DBB) configurations are available for metering and sampling applications.
