Compact wafer design with spring-loaded dual plates for fast, low-head-loss non-return duty across the full pressure spectrum.
The dual plate check valve employs two spring-loaded semicircular discs that open in response to forward flow and snap shut instantly when flow ceases, virtually eliminating the water hammer that plagues conventional swing check designs. The wafer body profile reduces face-to-face dimensions by up to 80% compared to full-bore swing checks, making it the preferred non-return solution where space and weight are constrained.
VALVAX dual plate checks are investment-cast or sand-cast depending on pressure class and size, radiographed to ASTM E94, and seat-lapped to achieve bubble-tight closure per API 598. The torsion spring is external to the flow path and replaceable without removing the valve from line.
