Technical Overview

The globe valve's S-shaped flow path and linear disc-to-seat action make it the preferred choice for throttling, flow regulation, and frequent on-off applications. Unlike gate valves — which are designed exclusively for full-open or full-closed service — globe valves provide stable, predictable flow characteristics at intermediate positions without seat damage.

VALVAX cast steel globe valves are designed to BS 1873 and ASME B16.34, with bolted bonnet construction for field repacking. Available in standard globe (T-pattern) and angle (Y-pattern) body configurations. Hard-faced Stellite seat rings and plugs are standard for erosive and high-velocity service.
